Since 1972, date of formation of the Band, GWENDAL developed an original and refined instrumental style, with a high emotional power, which enabled the Band to win a large audience, both in France and abroad.
Resulting from the Celtic music wave, GWENDAL emerges from it very quickly thanks to the personality of its compositions and arrangements, carrying out a fusion between the traditional expression and the musical environment of the Band with strong rock'n'roll and jazz connotation.
Ongoing, this process continues with the string of ten albums greeted by the critic (Great Price of the Academy Charles Cros for "Glen River"), and by the public (gold disc in Spain for compilation "Lo Mejor de Gwendal", in France "Celtic Adventures"). The new album "War-Raog" presents the result of the work of studio and scene of these last years.
